Bonsai 1 Science project.
Can You Yourself In The Dark?
Our science experience was for me and the children go into the Bathroom and have the lights off. Amaya and Johnathan was jumping up and down being alittle frieghten in the dark as soon as I turned the lights off. I asked the children what do they see in the dark? Jayden just laughed and was feeling around touching his friends I could hear them giggle. Then I shine the flashlight on them and see we need light in order to see in the dark. When we came out of the bathroom, Jayden was under a blanket moving and walking around the class room trying to catch Jordyn. They were both laughing. Then Jordyn hit Jayden's back and said ''get up.'' he was repeating what he experienced in the bathroom with no light and realizing he can't see unless there is light.

Today we conducted another experiment in the dark with Bonsai 1 early toddler class. The children were walking around the class searching for objects in the dark using the flashlights. Jordyn found a toy watermelon under the cots and Olivia found some puppets on the shelf. Johnathan had discovered a tea pot under the babydoll crib. Dylan flashed the light on a babydoll under the table. Amaya and Nathan ran to shine their light on the puzzle pieces under one of the tables. Christina looked inside her boot with the flashlight. All we could hear ways sounds of science discovery with oohs and ahhs, They sreamed when the lights were off but then begin to follow instructions as the experiment took place.
