I've been working on "finding the wind" with the children. We've done one of their most favorite activities where we all get up and go outside to the playground and see if we can find the wind. The children have said things like "I can feel Mr. Wind on my face." "Mr. Wind is blowing the leaves on the trees." and "Mr. Wind is blowing my hair all around." They have come to the undestanding that even though they can not see the wind that the wind is still all around them because they can feel it. I always ask them the most infamous question "what is Mr. Wind made of?" and screaming with excitement they always say "AIR"! Afterwards we did the plastic bag experiment where we actually got to feel and see the air. They were filled with excitement once they each got to poke the bag and feel the air. Then one child poked the bag so hard that all the air came out and laughing he said "oops the air is coming out of the bag now Ms. Danielle because I put a hole in it."
